Hi Everybody,

Today, we worked on study calendars, math mid-year refresher & finishing the Topic 6 online simulations.

Tomorrow is the track meet.  To accommodate for this, we compiled a list of tasks to push our course work through the weekend.

Here are things that need to be worked on:

1.  Science Topic 4 jot notes...please get these done if they are not already done so

2.  Topic 6 Science online simulations...please finish this assignment using the links on our blog

3.  Look ahead into 8.3 in Math so you can see where the algebra is going on Monday...Algebra Unit Exam will be next week on May 16th.

4.  Study prep for your Science Electricity final assessment on May 17th (may switch to May 18th but plan for the 17th)

5.  Create a study schedule!!  Today, students received a May & June calendar with school events listed on it.

a) please add family/extra-curricular events to the calendar (ensure that the timing is reasonable ie if soccer is for 2 hours...it is actually a 4 hour event by the time you travel, eat, shower etc)

b) next add your homework time

c) next add your study time to the calendar...what time are you going to study, how long and what will you be studying (ex:  20 minutes Topic 2 Biodiversity narrow vs broad niche organisms)

d) please share your study plan with your adults at home

6. Tighten up your labs (Resistance Roadblock & Series/Parallel)...these should be in your journal when I start to collect them in)

7. Organize your journals!!!!!  Sort through all your loose papers and get them filed into the appropriate journal/binder.

8.  p. 307 Topic 5 Review Portable Power complete #2, 3, 4

9.  p. 308 Topics 4-6 Wrap Up...please complete #4 & 7
